not on commission.
Dr Donaldson was thorough in the office & excellent in surgery.

Dr Donaldson did my cataract surgery. At my follow up appointment she told me she could do LASIK to correct my vision which was to be corrected by the cataract surgery. She wanted me to know there would be no charge (of course not my insurance would be billed). Never an apology for the failed procedure! With an appointment I was at Bascom Palmer over 10 hours for a procedure that takes less than 30 minutes. Patients are treated like cattle. It is really sad.

I went for a visit with Dr Donaldson today for a foreign object orbiting my eye. It has recently started causing serious issues (headaches, a louder ringing in my right ear, ear itching and when im able to move the foreign object forward a little burning inside both ear canals). While in the visit I explained that I can physically move it by rotating my eye and at one point it was on the face of the eye itself. Her response was that she doesn't see it and can't help. I then explained that part of it is about a quarter or a half inch behind the lacrimal caruncle and that she will be able to see it and pull it out at that point. She kept assuring me that she saw my entire conjunctiva by flipping my eye lids back and there's nothing in there and then referred me to another specialist. The specialist was to flush out a tear duct which I didn't follow through with because it was a complete waste of time, only used to get me out of the office. Im now at home with the continuous ringing in my ear and all of the other symptoms previously described including a pressure that builds depending on how far in it gets. I was a back sleeper before this issue and have turned into a side. Im starting to have shoulder pain because if I sleep on my back I will wake up with enhanced symptoms. I can't help but wonder if everyone I bring this issue to really thinks I don't have the issue im describing or if they don't want to be responsible for the life I'll have if they have to do any cutting. Either way the issues I have because of this is getting too severe for me to live with no matter how well I hide it.

In all honesty she listened to everything I had to say but just didn't deliver what I expected from Bascom palmer for a serious issue like mine..

Very good experience with Dr Donaldson. Her knowledge, compassion, surgical skills - everything is excellent. I stopped many activities because of cataracts and now I have my life back. Bascom Palmer was clean and efficient, also 5 stars

When scheduling an appointment make sure you don’t need to reschedule because the next available appointment will be in a few months. This is the down side of being taken care by the best. Also appointments can last 2-4 hours depending on your medical condition as the like to do all the testing at once.
