Dr Yomtoob has been taking care of my husband’s eyes for nearly 10 years. He has gone above and beyond to help him when he had an emergency, stayed on top of his progress, and even helped getting the insurance to approve out of the ordinary procedures and Rx. His staff is friendly and polite, especially Patricia, who is very personable and professional. We are blessed to have Dr Yomtoob and his fine staff.
For those with complaints about wait times, keep in mind emergencies happen often and the Dr/patient ratio is a challenge especially with specialists. Having been there as an emergency as well as a patient having to wait more than we like at times, we believe Dr Yomtoob is worth the wait…he cares!!

I've been seeing Dr. Yomtoob for many years to treat me for borderline glaucoma. The doctor stays on top of my care and is very friendly and personable. He always answers any of my questions and talks in layman's terms about his diagnosis and treatment alternatives. I trust him and also have my wife and children visiting him when they have issues with their vision.

I would strongly suggest that unless you’re willing to routinely wait more than an hour in the waiting room you should not schedule an appointment with these doctors. The practice is singularly focused on generating revenue. So they double and triple book appointments… very frustrating

Dr Yomtoob may be the best in his field, but his office staff leaves a lot to be desired. We had an appointment at 3:30 yesterday. This appointment was made months ago, so it's not like they were squeezing us in. We arrived at 3:20 to be polite. At 3:50, my husband asked another patient in the office if she was seeing Dr. Yomtoob, and she said she was. At this point, the woman at the front desk told him that everybody was seeing Dr. Yomtoob, as he was the only doctor in the office at the time. She then announced to the entire waiting room what procedure he was there for (HIPAA) and that he needed to see a technician first. Further, there were no technicians available to see him at that time. Let's get this straight: We have a 3:30 appointment. There is another patient in front of us to see the doctor, and we have to see a technician before we see the doctor, but there are no technicians available. And they are already twenty minutes late. I asked three times, "Why do you make appointments for patients if you don't intend to honor them?" Nobody would deign to answer me. As we walked out the door, I said, "You have no respect for your patients' time." Her response? "I didn't say that." Well, it was not necesssary for her to say that. Actions sometimes speak louder than words, and this was the case in our situation. Would it be impossible to let us know they were running behind when we arrived? Why bother? Our time is of no concern to them. No respect for our time. No respect for his privacy. It was so very, very disappointing.

Dr. Yomtoob is a respected dr but his office is obviously over-scheduled because the wait is always to long. With that being said my mom always had a fondness for him because he treated her very kindly. Well this appt. she mentioned that she had to wait an hr (she is 96 yrs old) & instead of apologizing he said & I quote:

I’m sorry, but if this doesn’t work for you, you can find another doctor.

That is just rude & she was very offended since she had been going to him for years. Would he have said that to a younger patient? He made her feel like she didn’t matter anymore. She recently saw Dr. Kim who was very kind & thorough & she definitely prefers her from now on.

I don’t care how good a dr you are, treat all patients with respect.

Doctor may be good. Visited him only once. But office staff are quite rude and don't follow up. One eye (allergy med drops) prescription that was given is not covered by insurance. Rite aid and I (three times) are trying desperately to get an alternate one for the past 15 days. No luck so far. Staff does not even care. Today (4/21/21) one person says, I can get sample from the office (they could have given me on the day I saw him 15 days ago). Not going to go back.

Very thorough and explained everything he did very well and easy to understand. He did extra tests on me as my parents have macular degeneration. I found him very pleasant and eager to answer all my questions I will go to him for the rest of my life and I will suggest others to do so.
