I was scammed by someone from Amazon Prime in which a $500 gift card was purchased on my PayPal account. I have reported it to Egifter, my bank, PayPal and filed a police report. Egifter refuses to give me the email address of the person who received it and refuses to revoke the card so My PayPal acct can be refunded. Apparently they are more interested in protecting the scammer than helping me get my money back. Don’t let this company near your money. They are as bad as the crooks.

Just bought an eGift card & I’m not impressed. You ask for buyers e-mail address but not the person we want gift card sent too than gift card is sent to us & we have to forward. Not how it should be!

I bought a gift card on eGifter. Unfortunately, I made a mistake in the email address I gave them. They never informed me that the email address didn't exist and that the gift card was undeliverable; I found out from the friend I had tried to send it to. That was 2 weeks ago. I have been trying to have the gift card sent to the correct address since; with no luck yet. I am about to go through my credit card company to dispute the charge. Such a shame. It would be an easy fix. Instead my friend still doesn't have his birthday present and I've had a lot of frustration with the process. I will never use eGifter again.

Terrible terrible service. Took $104.95 out of my paypal. Denied me getting the gift card for no reason, as I have used them before. Then told me there’s an issue and it will take several days probably to get my money back. They blamed it on PayPal. PayPal said they have nothing to do with it. So they lied. All they have to do is give me the gift card or release the funds. Also I got an email saying they didn’t approve me to buy the card, an hour later one saying I’ll have it in 24 hours, and an hour after that one saying sorry could be days until you get your refund. Very very unhappy. Do NOT use them. Use just about any other company besides this one!

Do NOT use this service unless you like to throw money at random companies and receive nothing in exchange except frustration dealing with abominable service. Do NOT work with this company (that’s you Visa Vanilla and PayPal), unless you’d like to be thanked by eGifter assigning blame to you, damaging your good will. Now, it’s anti-customer service has stopped responding to me entirely while the company holds entirely onto my funds without delivering anything.

They offered a promo for $90 for a $100 lowes gift card, then cancelled the transaction for a lot of buyers within hours of offering it. Saw on the forums other buyers had the same issue. They claim their system denies valid transactions occasionally, but it seemed like everyone had the same issue. Perhaps they were just harvesting new user signups for spam purposes or getting the customer's credit card info. They refused to honor the promo prices later on. Would not recommend.

Good concept. The CEO is brilliant. Once geo tracking is built in and more people get approved for orders of gift cards, the company and its services should explode. Need to outsource some of the IT. Too many bottlenecks and too much unnecessary stress. Consumers can save money by accumulating points on your purchases and apply on a future purchases. Makes it worth the effort.

I recently purchased eBay gift cards from this company that did not work. The eBay checkout page would accept the gift card entries and credit them but at some point it would erase all of the entries and make me start over entering the numbers.

When I asked eGifter support, all they did was provide me with a canned response that, "Once an eGift Card has been claimed and the gift card number has been viewed, we are unable to provide a refund" and directed me to their terms of service.

Since they would not respond to further inquiry I went and researched the issue myself. It turns out that there is a hidden clause in the eBay user agreement that restricts the use of gift cards to 8 entries per order, and also limits the total that can be redeemed per order and per month.

Egifter made no mention of this absurd limitation which makes their $25 eBay gift cards only redeemable for up to $200 on a single order. This means that if you buy $1000 worth, well, that's not exactly like buying $1000 in gift cards is it

I wouldn't use this company ever again.
